Gajar ka halwa is the traditional dish in most of the families of Asian countries. It is served as sweet dish in family functions including weddings etc. It is mostly cooked during winter season as it can decrease the temperature of human body and help in controlling cold. People enjoy eating halwa during winter season. In order to solve this problem, i have bring a recipe of gajar ka halwa for you to make it easy for you so that you may make it at home easily and perfectly.

 

Ingredients:

Following are the ingredients used in making of gajar ka halwa:

Ingredients                                                                                                        Quantity

Ghee                                                                                                                                                                                                         1 cup

Carrots (crushed)                                                                                                                                                                                      1 kg

Milk                                                                                                                                                                                                           1 litre

Sugar                                                                                                                                                                                                         1.5 cup

Cardamom                                                                                                                                                                                                 0.5 tbsp

Khoya(crushed)                                                                                                                                                                                          500 gm.

Procedure:

Take a pan in which you want to make halwa. Add Ghee into it and heat it. than add Carrots into it. Cook  the carrots for 4 to 5 minutes. Than add Milk into it. Mix it thoroughly and cook it for 40 to 50 minutes on medium heat. After that add Sugar into it along with the Cardamom. Mix it and now add crushed Khoya onto the halwa. Mix it gently so that khoya mixes evenly throughout the Halwa. Now Gajar ka is ready to serve. It is better to serve it by sprinkling peanuts and almonds on it. Hope i didn’t miss anything.
