Meethi seviyan is one of the most commonly cooked dish on special occasions like Eid or weddings etc in most of the Asian countries and Islamic countries like Pakistan, India. Following are the ingredients used in making of meethi sewiyan:

Ingredients                                                   Quantity

Ghee                                                                                                                   ¼ cup

Almond                                                                                                                1 tbsp

Pistachio                                                                                                               1 tbsp

Raisins                                                                                                                   1 tbsp

Cardamom(bruised)                                                                                                  3

Cinnamon                                                                                                             2 small sticks

Semai/ vermicelli/seviyan(broken)                                                                      150 gram

Hot water                                                                                                                   1 cup

Sugar                                                                                                                     ¼ cup

Milk powder                                                                                                         ¼ cup


First of all take out the pan in which you want to make seviyan. Add Ghee into it and start flame. than add almond, pistachio and raisins into it and roast it. After 1 to 2 minutes take it out and add cardamom and cinnamon into it. Now add semai/seviyan into it. Fry it for 1 minute until golden brown colour of seviyan/semai/vermicelli appear. Than add hot water little by little while mixing it. Now add sugar, milk powder and mix it. Cook it until full brown colour appear. Now add roasted almond, pistachio and raisins into it. Than cook it for 3 minutes on very low heat. Meethi seviyan is ready to serve.
